How to Make AI Videos for Your Business: A Beginner Workflow from Script to Post

Short videos now drive most attention on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook. For a small business owner or freelancer, filming every day is hard. AI video tools help you plan, generate and edit clips in a fraction of the time, without a studio. This beginner workflow takes you from an idea to a finished, on-brand video, with honest rules to follow along the way.

Step 1: Understand what AI video can and can't do

Today's tools can turn text into images, animate still images into short clips, generate natural-sounding voices in many languages and add automatic captions. They still struggle with long scenes, exact text inside the video, consistent faces across many shots and hands. Plan around those limits: keep shots short, add text in your editor instead of inside the generated clip, and keep your story simple.

Step 2: Script first, always

Good AI videos start with a good script. Use the "hook, value, action" structure: a first line that stops the scroll, two or three useful points, and one clear next step. For a 30-second reel that's roughly 70 to 80 spoken words. Ask an AI assistant for ten hook options, choose the one that sounds most like you, and cut every word that doesn't earn its place. If you serve audiences in the UAE, India and Bangladesh, write the script once and create Hindi, Bengali or Arabic versions so each audience hears its own language.

Step 3: Storyboard your shots

Split the script into four to eight shots of two to five seconds each. For every shot, write what we see, what we hear and any on-screen text. A simple storyboard table saves you from generating dozens of clips you'll never use.

Step 4: Create images and keep characters consistent

If your videos use a presenter or mascot, create a clear reference image first and reuse it in every prompt. Describe clothing, colours and setting the same way each time. Keep your brand colours in backgrounds and props so every video feels like part of one series. Check each image closely for strange hands, extra fingers or warped text before you animate it.

Step 5: Image to video, voice and music

Animate each approved image into a short clip with gentle, simple motion: a slow camera push, a turn of the head, steam rising from a cup. Big, complex movements are where AI clips go wrong. Generate the voice-over from your script, choose a pace that feels natural and pick royalty-free music that sits quietly under the voice.

Step 6: Edit, caption and export

Put everything together in a free or low-cost editor. Add burned-in captions, because many people watch with the sound off. Export vertical 9:16 for reels and shorts, square for some feed posts, and 16:9 for YouTube. Watch the final video on your phone before posting; small text and fast cuts look very different on a small screen.

Quality checklist before you post

• Is the first second strong enough to stop the scroll?
• Are captions accurate and easy to read?
• Do hands, faces and products look natural?
• Are all claims true, with no income or result promises?
• Is AI-generated content disclosed where the platform asks for it?

Be honest about AI
